Trust

Perhaps everything else that mattered in a relationship grew from trust – from a tranquil faith in the courage, integrity, and kindness of the other person.
-Dean Koontz

Can a relationship survive and/or flourish after trust has been broken down by a variety of untruths and betrayals?

Only if trust is restored, which takes being an "open book" and entirely accountable.

I have run groups before and one of the subjects that sparked the most discussion was trust. In one such group I read this quote and then we discussed its worthiness and how it might or might not be applicable:

"Trust is the absence of fear"
