More of my favorite 80's tunes...

I graduated from high school in 1990. I was a child of the eighties. This statement rings true...

Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

*I remember needing a day off, which is the reason why I let my both of my kids stay home from school once in a while.

There's a lot of stuff on that list I really like. I did miss the 80s for the most part. Worked three jobs through most of that decade. Child support, alimony, new life, that sort of thing.

Some classic tunes! Took me back.

Just to be pedantic, the Smiths song is called 'How Soon Is Now'(brilliant record) and 'You Spin Me Round' was by Dead or Alive, led by Pete Burns (who doesn't get on well with Boy George by all accounts!)

Bud, Sounds like you had a tough decade!

Paul, Thanks for the corrections and for stopping by!

Russel, Thanks!

The original "I Want Candy" was by Bow Wow Wow and was a 80s clasic;
Me First and The Gimme Gimmies were a cheesy cover band that did cover versions of hit songs, but hardly ever as good as the originals.

"Don't Dream It's Over" was the "hey now, hey now" song by Crowded House.

Hi MCS, I'm so happy today! Just got home from swimming for an hour at the gym, followed by a 10 minute sauna bath and a warm shower. I rode home with my moon roof open so the warm air could dry my hair. I had an hour walk with my puppy this morning in the pretty sunshine. So, finding out that I made yet another error is cool with me. Thanks for letting me know. I got incorrect information from google and limewire. I hope my music connoisseur buddies will continue to make corrections for me every week when I post a new list!
XOXO

I grew up in the same time, but it’s amazing how different my list would be. I never really listened to the New Wave or pop music, so my list would be filled with Ratt, Poison, Motley Crue, Def Leppard, and the like.

Don't know if you saw it or not, but on my link dump that goes out today (can't include a link because it posts in three hours) I have an entry for a page that has the ten best movie music videos of the 80's. I think you'd like it.

I actually stopped listening to music from the late seventies to the mid eighties. What is interesting now is to return to the music I miss and discover anew INXS, DURAN DURAN, and THE HAIR BANDS
